I'm working 24 hours today so the plan was for the meds to arrive before noon and the nanny would bring the new one to me when she brings Parker for a visit this afternoon. Another glitch!! I got a call from the pharmacy in Colorado this morning. It was the same woman who made the mistake last week, Candace. She said there had been a mix-up and my medication was sent to another patient and her medication sent to me!!! She went on to say that she has worked there for seven years and never made a mistake but now had made two in two weeks and both on my account!! Unreal! So now I was going to run out of Viagra over the weekend and not be able to get it until Monday. I called the nurse at the clinic to ask how to handle this....should I take 2 a day instead of the prescribed 4 to get me through the weekend with at least some? Or just take it as scheduled and go a day without any? But then I got a call from the owner of the pharmacy stating that they realized my meds were shipped to a Richmond address. (My address is Midlothian.) That woman opened her package and found the wrong meds and called the pharmacy. He called her back and she was willing to meet me today to exchange packages. So he gave me her cell number, I called and we arranged for her to come to the hospital for the swap. Turns out she is also a patient at the same clinic, preparing for her first IVF cycle. A very nice woman who was so generous to take the time and energy to drive to me since I was at work and unable to meet her somewhere mutually convenient. Our stories are somewhat similar. What are the odds of the meds being sent from Colorado to the wrong addresses but in the same general city??? She would like to meet for coffee to share more of our stories and experience with each other. So again, it ends well but caused quite a bit of unnecessary stress. But maybe I've gained a friend from the mishap.
So I got the injection this afternoon and am really hoping and praying it makes for a fluffy lining of about 7.5 mm by Tuesday!!
