Now a new issue to be confused about.  During the preparation for embryo transfer I have to have two ultrasounds that measure the thickness of the uterine lining.  This has never been a problem for me in the past.  I've always had nice, thick linings in the appropriate time frame.  Yesterday I had my ultrasound and estrogen level done.  The lining is measuring 3 mm, where I'm usually around 8 mm at my first check.  The doctor said "thin" to be exact.  I thought this is not the time or place that I want to be "thin!"  I am on estrogen patches that are supposed to help build the lining and normally they increase the number of patches gradually over the next week or so.  The nurse from CCRM called last evening after reviewing my chart.  She saw that this is out of my norm and told me to increase to four estrogen patches immediately.  My estrogen level was good at 109, they want it over 50 at this point.  She didn't know why this is different but said it may just be my body responding differently this time.  She is not really concerned yet as we still have 2 weeks to get the lining up to the minimum of 8 mm for transfer.  And they can add other forms of estrogen if necessary.  I'll have a repeat ultrasound and estrogen level done on Friday, August 3rd.

I'm trying to look at this in a positive light.  In the past, with linings that grew thick and quick, the cycles haven't worked out.  So possibly this lining growing slower will be "fresher" and healthier and yield a positive outcome.  I have no idea if there is any science behind that thought but I'm going with it for now.  All good thoughts for a fluffy uterine lining next week are much appreciated!!
