So saddened again today by a tragic shooting, this time in an elementary school. Many prayers said and tears shed today for the victims, families and anyone involved.
On a happier note...my 19 week update...
What's going on with baby this week: Baby should weigh 8 to 10 ounces and is now developing vernix, the greasy white coating that protects their skin. Each foot is about one inch long. Hair is sprouting on his/her head. Baby is sucking and swallowing and the sense of taste is developing. Baby can distinguish between bitter and sweet. A girl baby now has about 6 million eggs in her ovaries.
How do I feel: Great, except for the stuffy nose that I'm getting used to.
What am I eating: Nothing crazy, no pickles with ice cream or any of the other oddities we hear about pregnant women craving.
What I miss: Nothing to speak of.
What I'm looking forward to: Feeling baby movements soon I hope! And starting the weekly progesterone injections tonight. Glad my OB agreed that they may be good for me and was willing to order them. And happy that it's only a weekly shot!
