Lucky 13 weeks today!
What's going on with baby this week: He/she now has fingerprints. The bones and skull are beginning to solidify and soon tiny ribs will appear. This fact I find amazing...if it's a girl, she already has 2 million eggs in her ovaries.
How do I feel: Very relieved to be entering the second trimester with a great ultrasound yesterday. I was in Pennsylvania for 4 days this week and I had essentially no nausea while there. But the day I came home, it returned, in the late afternoons and evenings.
What am I eating: I've had a few bites of chicken but usually not interested still. Loving fruit like grapes, apples, mangoes, and strawberries.
What I miss: Being able to fix a quick deli sandwich for lunch.
What I'm looking forward to: Since I was too scared to tell my niece and nephew about the baby this week, I'll have to keep that one on this list. I just didn't want to tell them, then come home and get bad news at the ultrasound yesterday, and have to break upsetting news to them. I guess it'll be pretty obvious by the time I see them again around Christmas.
