23 week update....

What's going on with baby this week:  A lot of growing.  Baby will double his/her weight in the next four weeks.  The skin is becoming less transparent.  Hearing is established and some studies show that babies exposed to certain loud noises (like a barking dog) in the womb are less likely to be startled by them after birth.  So maybe I'll start running the vacuum daily now. :)

How do I feel:  Thrilled to be feeling regular movements from baby!  Physically great...no swelling yet, still sleeping fairly well.  But a little nervous about getting through the next couple of weeks now that I'm so close to viability.

What am I eating:  Lots of protein but pretty much the usual diet.

What I'm looking forward to:  Picking up the baby furniture tonight and seeing it in place in the room.  Will be a while till it's all assembled and ready to go but it's just surreal that the room is actually transforming into a nursery!  After so very many years of praying, wishing, dreaming......

    1. Thanks Melinda! We'll still have the painting party after the baby, just working around the furniture. My parents and sister are coming this weekend to help get some things done and crib assembly is on the agenda. Thanks for offering! Hope to see you in the next few weeks.
