25 week update....

What's going on with baby this week:  Baby should weigh one and 3/4 pounds and might be about 13 inches long.  The eyelids should no longer be sealed shut so baby can open his/her eyes.  The brain is growing rapidly.  Exploring the structures inside the uterus and his/her own body parts may have become a source of entertainment for baby.  My uterus should be the size of a soccer ball, allowing enough room for baby to turn somersaults still, but not for long.

How do I feel:  So relieved to be 25+ weeks and doing well!  Loving feeling the baby move all the time now!  I feel great overall.  Still have the stuffy nose but I've gotten used to it.  Still love the Breathe Right strips at night!  And also have added some carpal tunnel issues and tailbone discomfort but they are such small things compared to what could be.  I've gained 8 - 9 pounds thus far.

What I'm looking forward to:  My next OB appointment on Thursday.  I'll have an ultrasound to measure the baby and make sure he/she is growing appropriately.  I also think it's time for the icky gestational diabetes test.  Keeping my fingers crossed that I pass!
