Whew!  Four of my embryos are now safely in Richmond!!!  I have six total but decided to transfer only four here, due to the extremely slim chance of something happening in en route.  That way I'd at least have two embryos safe in Colorado.  But everything went smoothly!  The embryos were packed in a tank of liquid nitrogen yesterday at CCRM and sent overnight via FedEx.  I called the lab here this afternoon to confirm the safe arrival of my precious embryos.  All looks good I am told and they are back in the freezer.

My lining is looking pretty good for me, so we're tentatively planning the next embryo transfer on November 2nd.  I keep thinking how easy it seems this way.  I'll simply drive up to the office about 30 minutes away, have the procedure, come home to Parker and my own bed and settle in for the next 48 hours or so.

Dr. Steingold did a sort of practice transfer at a recent ultrasound appointment to eliminate any surprises from my anatomy on the big day, and that seemed to go smoothly for him.

Once again, I have to say thank you to my amazing family who will be key in this plan.  My parents and sister Laura are planning to arrive over the weekend and spend Halloween with us.  Then Laura and I will go to the appointment on Monday and they will all stay until my bedrest ends on Wednesday.  It came to me recently that Laura was in the room for my only successful transfer, Parker's, so maybe she is my good luck charm!!  She's happy to be there for this one again and I'm so grateful to her and my parents for being willing and able to do this for Parker and I now!!!
