Bedrest is over, my family left today, and I go back to work this afternoon.  Parker and I will be sad that Pap, Nana and Aunt Wawa aren't here to join in all the fun!  And I'll be searching for friends to do my daily progesterone injections.

I will have blood work to test for the pregnancy hormone, HCG, on November 13th.  In Colorado they do the blood test 9 days after transfer.  My doctor here said Nov. 13, which is 11 days after, but since 13 is my lucky number I went with it.  I'm sure he would have been fine if I'd asked to do it 9 days after transfer, but I like the plan as it stands.

Going back a little bit, we did things differently in many ways this cycle.  With the CO team I had much more frequent lab work for progesterone and estrogen levels.  In attempts to thicken my stubborn uterine lining, CO had me on vaginal and injectable estrogen, which gave me levels around 3000.  Dr. Steingold thought that may be too high, so we skipped the injections and I only took oral estrogen.  His goal was an estrogen level of 300 to 400, which is exactly where I was.  We skipped the Viagra this time.  Dr. Steingold always asked for my opinion regarding the treatments, as he recognized that I have done this multiple times, and was willing to listen too.  I appreciate him so much for that!  With CO, I was on two forms of progesterone, vaginal and injectable, but now only on injections.  So this cycle was sooo much easier than previous ones.  The easier med schedules, the lack of worrying about getting work shifts covered to travel, making last minute flight and hotel reservations, stressing over leaving Parker for 3 days, and not having to travel cross country and ask for help with my baggage every step of the way home.  So happy I made the decision to move embryos here!
