Today Lisa and I changed our plans and headed south to Colorado Springs instead of north to Boulder. To the north of us they got anywhere from 2-4 feet of snow. The storm also caused the cancellation of some 600 flights into and out of Denver airport. But before we left Lisa walked out into the yard of the hotel with a ruler to see how much snow we had here. The final tally.....17 inches. We visited the Garden of the Gods which is truly gorgeous country. It was a nice drive through wonderful scenery with lots of places to stop and take photos. Surprisingly they had no snow there except for a little on top of some of the largest mountains. So we've had a great day and are now settling in for the night. Lisa's in the kitchen whipping up our dinner. She's been an awesome travel buddy, chauffeur, nurse and friend! Will be up early tomorrow for the big day! Enjoy the pics.

That was a beautiful drive and just gorgeous scenery. Love our country! Having a great time with Lisa as well.
