The fertilization report today is amazing! They retrieved 28 eggs, 25 of which were mature. The process has help in that instead of putting everything together in a dish and letting nature take it's course, they actually inject a single sperm into each egg, a procedure known as ICSI. They are then put into an incubator and checked the next day for signs of fertilization. Today I have 22 little embryos growing! That's really a good number as you expect to lose some of the eggs/embryos along the way. So I'll get another call Friday with an update on the status of the embryos. Please continue growing little embryos!
I also had labs drawn this AM and those results are good, my medications continue unchanged. We leave before dawn tomorrow!
Just had a great lunch with a sweet friend who brought me a beautiful angel figurine with the tree of life on her dress. How thoughtful and appreciated that is!
